Park Ji-yoon as “Kleopatra”
It seems like Park Ji-yoon disappeared from the spotlight for a while. The singer-turned-actress left the music world and appeared in a few drama series. There has been some overlap with singers and musicals; Oak Jo Hyun is one singer who has had success in musicals. Now Park Ji-yoon will also star in a musical: Kleopatra.
Alternating with actress Kim Sun-Kyung, Park will play the leading role. It sounds like it will be quite the spectacle:
Michal David’s Korean adaptation of “Kleopatra” is a first in the country and the operetta has a running time of one-hour-and-40-minutes. It consists of many musical numbers, including 18 pieces for the role of the queen, raking up 70 to 80 percent of the show.
Kleopatra will change costumes 13 times during the performance and will wear a gorgeous crown worth three billion won.
From the picture alone, Park Ji-yoon would make a great Kleopatra.
